I came in simply expecting to work on my sobriety, but I am leaving with such an abundance of a renewed view of myself and what my life can and will be. I am leaving with confidence, with new friendships, and an inner strength that I forgot I had.

Steve and his team have cultivated an atmosphere and culture that promotes mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health and growth. To say that I am grateful for the exceptionally supportive team of individuals that work here is an understatement.

The nurses (shout out Rebecca and Steph!) treat every patient with such care and attentiveness. The team of techs and support staff make the days fun and entertaining. The kitchen staff is phenomenal, and the cleaning team is unmatched in their diligence to keeping the facility on top notch condition around the clock.

Coming up from Philly, unless you have private insurance, you don't get into places anywhere near as nice & luxurious as Avatar. You may not like all the things you see or all the people that you deal with, but it's very easy to find someone at Avatar that's more than willing to help you! For us, it was my boyfriend's friend that did a lot for us clients when we were there. I got recommended this place from a friend from Philadelphia and I couldn't be happier with the decision of coming to Avatar for established help when all I've been used to was state-run facilities. Avatar offered clients so much in accommodations that its easy to overlook the excellent treatment you really do receive from the whole staff working in cohesion as a group project and the clients' Recovery is the thesis. It's also a plus to have your own room and bathroom with the ability to use your phone and laptop for work. They also took care of our self-care needs of a haircut with a legit barber that cuts some NY Giants players and Andrew takes people to the nail salon.
I'm so grateful for my stay that goes beyond just these memorable accommodations that will never let me look at another rehab the same way. I would rather wait for a bed to open up at Avatar before i go somewhere else! Take that how you will!
